SHIATSU

DEEP TISSUE

Deep tissue massage is a technique that consists of gripping and stretching the tissues in order to release the deep muscle fibers between the different layers of muscles and the fascias as well as the postural muscles. With a so-called therapeutic field of action, deep tissue massage excels in muscle relaxation and improvement of locomotor problems. Done well, it can also lead to some relaxation.

Deep tissue massage follows the same protocol as other massage therapy techniques. The main difference is in the execution: its pace is much slower to encourage penetration through the muscle layers.

PREGNANT WOMAN * (WITHOUT ACCESS TO THE BATHS)

Meant for the pregnant woman to help with the numerous changes the body is going through and to soothe any discomfort during the pregnancy. It procures a moment of relaxation and comfort, while offering a chance to discover prenatal contact with the baby who is receptive to touch from the four-month stage. Rest assured that all of our therapists are trained for this type of massage and are aware of the risks related to the condition of the pregnant woman. Our insurers require any client who is less than 14 weeks along (1st trimester) to sign an Ovarium release form. The massage brings many benefits to the pregnant woman:

PRESSOTHERAPY

This treatment for the legs begins with the slipping on of long, inflatable leg cuffs that, when filled with air, gently massage the legs through pressure and decompression. Its benefits are felt throughout the entire body. Among others, pressotherapy eliminates toxins and stimulates blood circulation. Its relaxing effects can be felt immediately.
